Alberta Public Holidays

This page contains a calendar of all statutory and provincial holidays for Alberta.

In Alberta, the government recognises nine statutory holidays and four optional holidays. Alberta Family Day is celebrated in the province on the third Monday of February. The holiday is designed to give employees time to spend with their family and is scheduled to provide time off between New Year’s Day and Good Friday as they are approximately three months apart.
