Nunavut Public Holidays 2024, 2025, and 2026
This page contains a calendar of all 2024, 2025, and 2026 statutory and provincial holidays for Nunavut. These dates may be modified as official changes are announced, so please check back regularly for updates.
Following the passage of the 1982 plebiscite which divided the Northwest Territories, the Canadian parliament passed the Nunavut Act which established the territory. The act was signed on July 9 and this day has been designated a holiday in Nunavut known as Nunavut Day. In addition, the first Monday in August is celebrated as Civic Holiday designed to celebrate the heritage of the province.
